April
29 Today, I'm in the RCA library and I'm still wondering if I'm gonna write all the Elvises down or not. Maybe it's not such a good idea. I see the spine of a book called "PANIC", in a random section. It strikes me, so I pull the book out and on the cover I see two photos of Elvis! It was a sign! I had to do this project!

May
3 I'm listening to an Serge Gainsbourg CD "L'homme a la Tete de Chou". Track 9, the lyrics go "Marilou ecoute Presley" (Marilou listens to Presley).

9 I'm listening to Jazz Fm, and I hear "Elvis", but not the rest of the sentence.

10 I'm reading my old notes from last year's RCA dissertation, and I see that I've mentioned Elvis in my research about Andy Warhol.

I'm listening to Mos Def CD. Track 10 "Water", the lyrics are "Elvis Presley ain't got no soul".

13 My friend Natalie from college asked me to bring some old newspaper that I've been collecting. I look through one of them (Daily Mail, 27 March 2003), and there's an article about Elvis and Lisa Mary.

14 I'm at the Tate Modern, and I knew I would see Warhol's "Double Elvis". But before I see it, I see a picture by Chris Ofili, "Double Captain Shit and the Legend of the Black Star", which is a direct reference to "Double Elvis" which is mentioned on the captions.

...then I see the real "Double Elvis" a few minutes later.

16 I give some book to Michal (my then-boyfriend) so he can bring them back to Paris for me. I see that one of those books is about Andy Warhol, and on the cover, it's "Double Elvis".

19 I'm having lunch on my terrace when the radio plays the song "Walking in Memphis, in my blue suede shoes". I forget who sings it.

Later on, I go to Top Shop, and I see a belt with an Elvis buckle.

Then, back on the terrace, I borrow my flatmate's Glamour, and there's an article with a photo of Elvis and Priscilla's wedding.

20 I'm on Piccadilly, and I walk into HMV where I see an "Elvis Encyclopaedia".
